Skeg

"Skeg (Andy) Harlow Anderson, 49, of Sterling, Alaska, passed away in his sleep the night of September 7th. Skeg was born to William and Sharon (Battleson) Anderson on May 20,1964. One of four sons! They spent many years of their life traveling and living in different places across the country, but the Battleson Ranch in Peerless was always home!

After high school, Skeg joined the Army where he, along with two other soldiers, was awarded the Army Achievement Medal for saving their sergeants’ life. After being discharged from the Army he moved to Alaska and has made that his home since. It was there, twelve years ago, he met the love of his life, Beth Rowell & they began their life together. He has worked on the north slope and on fishing boats and most recently he has been caring for Beth after her intense battle with cancer.

Skeg loved all animals, fishing, hunting, boating, water sports and all of nature. He also loved a good joke and prank! He loved kids, especially his many nieces and nephews. He was especially close with his nephew and godson Ethan. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed it!"
