Cornea Donation

Donated corneas can preserve and restore sight. The cornea itself is the clear dome-like window covering the front of the eye that allows light to pass through to the retina, which allows us to see.

The cornea donation process, the most common tissue form donated, usually occurs within 12 hours of death.
